We are delighted to share with readers that CN Editorial Team Member, Professor Gil Hardy, Nutrition in the Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences, University of Auckland, has been awarded ASPEN’s 2026 Bruce R. Bistrian* Nutrition Membership Award.
The award reflects Gil’s exceptional contributions to the field, his meaningful work and the regard to which he is held in the clinical nutrition arena. Gil’s achievements will be honoured at the ASPEN 2026 Nutrition Science & Practice Conference in Long Beach, California, on 14-17 February, 2026.

*Bruce Bistrian is a past president of ASPEN, working at New England Deaconess Hospital and Harvard Medical school in Boston, MA, USA.
He has published over 600 papers, reviews and textbook chapters, and has been a guest lecturer at ESPEN and the Nutrition Society conferences.
