‘Gold Standard’ Innovation of Puréed Meals

This Autumn, people living with swallowing difficulties have the opportunity to experience excellence in both flavour and texture with the launch of Wiltshire Farm Foods’ latest Level 4 Puréed meals.

Customers can look forward to five brand new dishes, including Purée Fish Pie, Purée Bean Chilli and Purée Chicken Korma along with the delicious additions of new sides such as Purée Sweetcorn and Purée Green Beans.

The range now also features many stand-out sauces such as apple, mint, butter and mushroom, to accompany the main dish, elevating flavour and improving texture which complies with the latest IDDSI guidelines.

The award-winning ready meal provider believes passionately in dining with dignity and that first and foremost we eat with our eyes. Presentation of its Puréed meals has always been of paramount importance, with the Purée Cottage Pie now featuring fork marks on top to give it that home-cooked appearance.

Registered Dietitian, Sophia Cornelius explains:
“A great deal of work was carried out to ensure our latest puréed range ticks the boxes from a nutritional perspective. Together with our Chefs we wanted to ensure every meal contained at least 15g of protein and 500 calories to help combat the risk of malnutrition for people living with dysphagia.

“One consideration for individuals living with the condition is portion size, as often, larger portions may no longer be manageable. Our new meals are available in portions ranging from 275g to 340g so will hopefully appeal to those experiencing mealtime fatigue, without having to compromise on nutrition.”
